The main goal of any makeup is to highlight your features to make them look best. Eyes are one of the most beautiful features which can highlight with the help of an eye makeup. There are many eye makeup techniques for brown eyes. Using a little makeup on the eyes, you could bring out many dimensions and colors which are in your brown eyes.

  1. Firstly, prepare the area surrounding the brown eyes before the application of the eye makeup which you will use. Next apply the eye cream under the eye area. Buy a concealer (a shade which is half shade lighter or similar to your skin tone) and apply a thin layer of concealer cream which will help to hide and cover the dark circles under the eyes. You can use this concealer also as a base on the eyelids for the eye makeup.
  2. After preparing your brown eyes for the highlight of eye makeup, next it’s the time for the application of color on the eyelids. Green color is one among the best color palettes which can be used for the eye makeup for highlighting the brown eyes. This palette will help to bring out or make up the golden tones to your stunning brown eyes. Buy a medium green shade eye makeup and swipe it on the eyelid from the eye lash line to eye brows.
  3. Buy automatic eyeliner and use it to frame the brown eyes. You can use a deep emerald color to highlight the brown eyes further. Line the top lash line. The best way to use the eye liner in the eye makeup is to apply it between the lashes as it help gives the gold color to your eyes. Eye liner is usually applied on the top lash line but you can also use it in your bottom eye lash line.
  4. Finish your brown eye makeup with a coat of mascara with black color on the lower and upper eyelashes for the final look and for the highlight of your brown eyes. Black mascara is the best color for the eye makeup as only two coats makes your eye lashes look thicker. As many coats can give a clumpy look.

The world always speaks about being able to look into the colored eyes for hours. With the application of eye makeup the world will be in line standing to gaze into your brown eyes.

Hair and Makeup Tips For a Swimsuit Models!

Filed under: Model Advice, Photoshoot Advice, Makeup Advice — Joseph Kellner @ 18:10

Depending on the photo shoot, your hair and make-up can range from bare and flat, to colorful and volumized. You want to deliver the best results as a model, and that includes knowing what is right and what is wrong for each type of photo shoot.  As a model you should know the necessary tools and tips for your hair and make-up. For a bikini model, the best approach to your hair and make-up is to keep your look clean, fresh and simple.

You want to look sexy yet natural as a Swimsuit model, so your make-up should be minimized. You should use only a little of foundation, think fresh and light. Remember, you could be getting wet as a bikini model, so do not use so much that your make-up will run. For your blush, you should pick a dark shade of pink, but not so dark that it appears unnatural. When you brush it on your cheeks, you’ll want to work from your cheekbones to your ears in an upward sweep. This will enhance the contour of your face and highlight your cheek bones. Since your eyes are considered to be “windows to your soul”, your eyes are an essential piece of the puzzle.

For your eye shadow, you should pick a light color that compliments your eyes, steering towards browns and grays. Although color is good, it can be problematic during a bikini shoot. Usually the purpose of a bikini shoot is to sell the bikini. You want the consumer to look at how great your body looks in the bikini and how great your overall look is. You do not want them just to concentrate on your eyes; it takes away attention from your body and the swimsuit.

For your mascara, it should be light. You want to accentuate your eyelashes, but be careful not to make them “show stopper” eyelashes. If you were on the beach you wouldn’t see a woman in a bikini with false eyelashes. So a simple mascara will do great, do not use volumizers or eyelash plumpers. For your eyeliner, you should use your eye shadow. Just dip your brush in your eye shadow, usually the darker of the colors you’ve used, and brush it along the bottom eyelid, and on the edge of your eye. This will play up your eyes without making them too harsh, as eyeliner has a tendency to do. You want your lips to look plump and beautifully shaped for your photo shoot. Choose a lip liner that is very close to your lip color. When applying the lip liner, work your way from the inside of your lips to the edges. Edging your lips is crucial in creating a plump pouty lip. Now for your lipstick you should pick a sheer color, within 2 shades of your lip color. Pick a lipstick that has a little bit of moisture and shine to it. Before you apply the lipstick, you should put some ChapStick on your lips. This will hydrate your lips, helping to keep them looking healthy and moisturized. Apply your lipstick, working from the inside of your lips to the edges. Do not use gloss for a bikini shoot, you want your lips to look moisturized and natural, not glossy and fake. After you have applied your lipstick, take the edge of your pinky, and edge up your cupids bow. This will define your lips and create that voluptuous look.

Safety Tips while using Eye Make-Up

Filed under: Model Advice, Photoshoot Advice, Makeup Advice — Joseph Kellner @ 17:34

Safety Tips while using Eye Make-Up

Eyes are the most fragile part of our body. Sometimes the cosmetics that intend to beautify our assets end up posing a threat to the safety of our eyes. Here are few tips that would help you take care of your eyes and beautify them safely.

Avoid direct contact of the cosmetic and the eye. While applying the eye-liner make sure it is outside the lash line so that it doesn’t flake into the eye.

Replace all your cosmetics every 6 months. If you are a contact lens wearer then you would have to get rid of all your favorite make-up kits much earlier. This would prevent your eyes from unwanted contamination.

If you have a good applicator that you have been using proficiently since a long time. Do not use it when you get yourself a brand new make-up kit. It may transfer the old bacteria into the new kit.

If you have had conjunctivitis throw your eye make-up kit and get a fresh one.

Apply your eye-shadows and other eye make up carefully. Avoid getting them in your eye.

Do not apply your eye make while traveling in a car or bus. You might accidentally poke the applicator right into your eye.

Never wipe your make-up with your saliva. Do not even try to wet your old dried make-up using your saliva. The bacteria in your saliva may wreak havoc in your eye.

Do not use a sharp instrument to do anything with your eye.

Make sure your eye lash curlers are of a good quality with nice soft rubber inside. Use it carefully.

Do not share your cosmetics or your eye make-up applicators with anyone unless you wish to share bacteria and infection with her.

When you visit a cosmetics counter at the departmental store, make sure the person uses a fresh applicator to demonstrate it over you. Do not let him use the applicator that he must have used on a hundred people before you.

If you find some problem with your eyes after using a particular product, see the doctor immediately!

    Hair Care Tips!

Filed under: Haircare Advice, Model Advice, Photoshoot Advice — Joseph Kellner @ 16:19

    orlandomakeup.com

As a model or potential model, it is important to take care of yourself from head to toe. That includes not only your skin/complexion and your body but your hair as well. Having a healthy and naturally shiny mane of hair is a very desirable trait for a model to possess, especially female models. Most male models won’t have to deal too much with their hair so this post will be of more interest to the ladies. Of course that doesn’t men you fellas should neglect your hair.

You may not think much of the role hair plays in the modeling industry but having a good head of hair is like icing on the cake in terms of model attributes. A good head of hair can make all the difference during a photoshoot, not to mention that having excellent hair is also vital for hair show modeling and beauty modeling. It isn’t very appealing to see a model with a gorgeous face, excellent figure but horribly damaged hair. You always want to present yourself in the best light so you’ve got to keep everything on point.
You never want your hair to appear dull, greasy, fried or eaten by split ends. This type of hair is very unattractive. Even Photoshop corrections can be too tedious when dealing with hair. The better off your tresses are to begin with, the easier you make things on the photographer and everyone involved in the process.

One of the best ways to maintain good, healthy hair is to create and establish an easy hair care routine. If you’ve already got one in place that’s been helping, then keep up the great job. For those who aren’t too sure if what they’re doing is good or bad for their hair, it helps to get a consultation from a stylist or the next time you go into your local salon for a trim, ask your hair stylist if they think your hair is healthy and if they have any professional advice or tips for you to follow. Expect them to recommend buying their store’s hair products to use, which tend to be pricey, but bypass that part and pay attention to any suggestions they may offer about how to handle your hair on a daily basis. Hopefully they will be of some help.

When it comes to choosing the right products, you may want to do a test of different brands and see which ones your hair responds best to. If samples of these products are available for free, go that route to avoid purchasing stuff that may not work or that you’ll never use again. As with skin types, knowing your hair type will also guide you as to which products you should use. People with permed, relaxed, or dyed hair will want to use products made specifically for color-treated or chemically stressed hair. The wear and tear chemicals and other hair treatments cause are often responsible for split ends, breakage and dry hair.

Deep conditioning works wonders for hair of any type. Photoshoots with hair stylists on-set tend to fill your hair up with spritzes, sprays and pomades as well as other products that can leave your hair feeling heavy and your scalp gunky afterwards. Doing a good deep conditioning treatment on your locks once a week or as needed is an excellent way to keep your hair and scalp healthy and clean from roots to tips. You can find deep conditioning products at any store, or check out the nearest beauty supply store if you’re looking for a specific brand. Be sure to follow the directions on the label for best results. Most only require being left in the hair for 5-10 minutes and then rinsing. After a few uses, you’ll notice your hair will have a natural sheen and softness. That’s the sign of happy hair.

Getting your ends regularly trimmed can also help you with the health of your hair. If you’re prone to bad split ends or breakage, snipping those troublesome ends off every 6-8 week—or however long it takes for your hair to grow normally—will take care of that. Leaving split ends untreated can cause your hair to break off at different lengths, creating an unkempt and unsightly appearance—even if you’ve styled your hair (I’m sure you’ve seen at least one or two girls with long, flowing hair filled with odd, light colored specks—those are the split ends). Trimming is different than cutting your hair so make that clear to your hair stylist to avoid a bad or unnecessary cut.

Permed, relaxed and dyed hair is already exposed to some damage due to the chemicals present. This means that the people who get these treatments done need to step up their hair care efforts more than the average person who doesn’t do anything chemically to their hair. If your tresses are fried, feel crunchy or dry, stop using those treatments and put your hair into a rigorous TLC schedule of deep conditioning with a product designed for severely damaged hair.

If you’ve got bad hair habits, cut them out! These include: constantly touching your hair or running your fingers through them (whatever you’ve been touching during the day can be transferred to your hair), chewing on the ends (trust me, I know people who do this), picking at split ends or breaking them off individually, using alcohol based hair products and putting too much heat on your hair daily. Can’t bear to live without using heated styling tools on your hair? Then invest in thermal hair products that will protect your lovely locks from heat damage.

One helpful hair care tip I learned about a few years ago and live by is to sleep on a satin pillowcase. Whether you toss and turn in your sleep or hardly move, your strands tend to get smashed and can get snagged on a pillowcase and pulled out in the process (how many times have you woken up to find stray hairs scattered or stuck to your pillow?). As harmless as it may seem, this can also contribute to minor hair damage over time. So toss those cotton pillowcases and invest in some comfy satin ones (they actually don’t cost much depending on where you buy them from). The material is much smoother than cotton and allows your hair to glide along the surface without getting snagged and pulled out, and it’s also good for your complexion.

This may make me sound like a broken record but even what you eat and drink can affect the status of your hair. Adding water to your daily diet allows your hair to grow healthy and strong, and consuming the right amount of vitamins and minerals in combination with a good multivitamin also promotes hair growth, strength, shine, strong roots and a healthy scalp. Key vitamins and minerals to include in your daily diet include: B vitamins, magnesium, zinc, sulfur, silica, folic acid, beta-carotene (found in green and yellow fruits and veggies), protein (wheat germ, fish, eggs, beans, yogurt, soy), among many others.

    Blush Tips

Filed under: Model Advice, Photoshoot Advice, Makeup Advice — Joseph Kellner @ 00:12

    orlandomakeup.com

    Blush Tips

    • Draw an imaginary line downwards from the center of the eye.

    • This is the furthest point on the cheek where blush should be applied.

    • Apply blush along cheekbone from hair line downwards to avoid ending up with a heavy “blob” of color on the cheek.

    • Always remember less is best.

    • Be sure to do the blush test. Once you are done with your entire makeup stand back, look in the mirror. Check to see if your face is ‘balanced’. You should have on just enough blush to make you look as though you are blushing. If you have on any more than that you need to tone it down.

    • To soften blush apply some powder over your blush. In the evening you have a little more liberty and so you could go a bit heavier according to the look you wish to achieve.

    • When applying blush use a darker shade to contour your face and “lift” your cheekbones.

    • Use your blush brush to apply blush with small half-moon shaped strokes moving from your hairline to your cheek bones. Do not apply close to the nose. Keep your blush on the cheek bones.

    • If you have sallow skin, pick a foundation that disappears on your face. To counteract your skin tone choose a pink or rosy blush.

    • For a very natural look, apply blush on the cheekbones and eyelids matching the color of the lipstick.

    • To tone down blush, apply a dusting of powder on top to subdue the color.

    • Never overdo your blush application, tap excess blush off your brush before applying.

    • Use a very small amount of blush for mid-day makeup touchup. The oil from your skin will grab color and intensify it.

    • Invest in a big fluffy blush brush just as makeup artists use. It will give you a soft, even blush of color.

    • Apply blush after powder for smooth, even look with no streaking.

    • Glow Without Blushing. When you just want to add warmth to the skin instead of a standard blush color like rose, peach or plum, use a light to medium bronzing powder in place of blush.

    • When you wear blush, DO find a color that is not too red for your skin tone since you will look sunburned.
